Dead Man’s Fingers Halloween
Dead Man’s Fingers Rum created a special Halloween bottle. To promote it we created a social campaign that rejected the usual Halloween fare of ghosts, graveyards and zombies. Instead, we decided to embrace the RIP graphics on the neck of the bottle and create a campaign that asked the consumer what they would like to say RIP to this Halloween – a chance to share with the world all the things that bother, irritate or annoy them. We got the ball rolling with one or two petty peeves of our own and then asked the consumer to make their suggestions in the comments using the hashtag #letRIP. We made the best suggestions into more Halloween social ads – sending the authors a complimentary bottle of DMF Rum on us. It proved very popular.
To kick the campaign off, we created a number of social ads featuring things that we’d like to say RIP to. Pretty soon, the comments started rolling in.
