A product launch that made the most of Remington’s Manchester United sponsorship

In a series of product launches, Remington, a leading player in the electrical styling, grooming and beauty category, was embracing personalisation as a core product feature.

For the Remington Limitless electric razor, personalisation came in the shape of an ingenious PivotBall feature that allows the head of the razor to adapt to the individual contours of the face. Our executional idea was ‘Life’s better with a ball.’

In addition, any campaign we created had to have the bandwidth to work with Remington’s sponsorship of Manchester United. The ball idea proved to be a gift in this instance, with the thought becoming ‘Enjoy superior ball control’ in the Manchester United executions.

Results

As a result, we recorded a significant increase in brand consideration and trial over a 24-month period across the main EU markets, while also helping to secure mass retail distribution, including Boots, Argos and Very.
